CULTIVATION AND CARE PROCEDURE OF ASPARAGUS


Asparagus is a plant that can live in many different regions and can grow all year round. 1. Seeds of asparagus.

Normally, nowadays, you will be able to use plants that have flowers and ripe fruit to let seedlings. However, in terms of quality, you should buy a package of imported seeds, F1 type, the tree will grow faster and shoot much more.

2. Nurture the seeds of the asparagus plant.

2.1 Nursing in nursery pots.

- Take dried fruit or ripe seeds. An asparagus fruit usually has 2 to 4 seeds inside, depending on the size of the seed

- Peel off the outer shell by breaking the outer shell and then seeding the seeds directly into the nursery. Put some more soil on top and cover the entire seed, watering a little more to stimulate the seed to germinate faster.

- After about 5 days, the seeds start germinating and after about 1 week, the tree grows to the ground, and after about 1 month, the tree will grow very quickly and the roots of the tree will grow to cover the nursery.

2.2. Prepare the soil and plant the tree.

- When the tree has grown in a large nursery after 1 month of sowing, it can be planted outside.

- Dig trenches about 15cm wide and 1 glove deep.

- Asparagus plants do not like moist soil and are prone to water immersion, so make good drainage ditches for plants to grow, plant in well-drained places.

- Create a mound in the trenches and place the asparagus stumps 35-40 cm long in the center, the roots spread to the sides.

- Cover the roots and stems with soil 5cm deep and water with clean water.

- When the tree grows, fill the trench more with soil, leaving 8-10 cm of the exposed stem.

- When the tree is about 2 months old, it can be planted. Plants are spaced 40-45 cm apart, rows 120 - 150 cm apart for plant to grow and have wide canopy.

3. Be careful when growing asparagus

Before planting or after planting and when the tree has begun to grow, basal fertilization should be done so that the plant can grow.
